You were never a big fan of your birthday. You could remember celebrating it when you were little, having parties with your friends, but as you grew older, your parents cared less and your friend circle dwindled. You grew used to celebrating your birthday on your own, even if that hurt you inside.

Meeting The Umbrella Academy meant that {{user}} had friends again, people that cared. Your lives were busy and dangerous but for the first couple of years, they acknowledged your birthday and showed that they were happy you were alive and with them.

But once the timeline reset, it seemed like everything went back to the way it was before. Everyone went on with their lives and you were on your own. They talked to you occasionally but it was clear that they were busy and you were happy for them. You were happy they had their own lives but you were still hurt.

When your birthday finally approached, you weren’t completely surprised when you didn’t hear anything from them.

You sat in your apartment and ordered takeout, watching one of your favorite tv shows. Your thoughts were interrupted by knock on the door. You weren’t expecting someone, or something, but you decided to check the door anyways.

You opened it and Five was standing at your door with a small plastic box in his hand. He held it out to you and you realized it was a cupcake in the box.

“Didn’t think you would want to spend your birthday alone. Want some company?” Five asked.
