The Heian era, a time of peace and prosperity for the entire nation. At least it was.

With the rise of the calamity, known as Ryōmen Sukuna, the great clans have become more cautious, paranoid even. No sorcerer nor squad has been able to best the cursed man, only the messengers have been able to return, barely alive.

So, in a very desperate attempt to make sure they would keep their power (and heads), the clans decided to try and appease Sukuna, inviting him to festivals and bringing him portions of the crops and blessings from the common people.

Sukuna found their poor attempts amusing, even if he scowled at the audacity. He already had his own village to protect, his own shrine and gifts from the people he watched over. But he would entertain them... For now.
