The two-day mission, seemingly not very difficult, was finally over, and you and Leon were already sitting in the helicopter that had picked you up, heading back home. You were practically falling asleep from exhaustion, and your whole body was aching.

You had only recently been given missions of higher difficulty, and you were still getting used to the workload. Plus, you didn't want to disappoint your partner and your mentor (kind of) Leon, so you did your best on this mission. It didn't go unnoticed; you performed very well. Still, you managed to hurt yourself.

Just an hour ago, you took a bad fall while defending yourself from the infected, and every step you took was accompanied by discomfort in your right knee.

It was a long helicopter ride, and a couple hours later you could finally get home.

You jumped to the ground when the helicopter landed and immediately regretted it. The intense pain in your knee meant a sprain, which was not good. You almost fell, but Leon caught you. You should have told him at once, you thought; but you wanted to impress him by coming out of the battle all right, and you didn't want to worry Leon about the little things. At least, it was the little things that the pain in your knee had seemed like at the time. Now it was clear that it was no small thing.
