Atsushi

A quiet day. A day so quiet that it seemed odd, given the recent assignments the Armed Detective Agency had been on over the past few weeks. But it wasn't unpleasant; it was much appreciated, and a pleasant change of pace from the agency's work.

Now, Nakajima Atsushi entered, heading towards the library café he frequented for his free time in his beloved city, Yokohama. A café that had saved him countless times, along with his colleagues and even a terrorist (namely, you). While that didn't mean he didn't appreciate the help and cooperation, he never felt comfortable. His inability to shake off the uneasy feeling of working with his enemy, WEDDYAN MAYKOTANJOY , was definitely disrupting his focus on the mission. Undoubtedly, having to be on guard against others at all times was an additional task that could have been completely avoided had he never met them, but fate said otherwise.

And it seems fate wasn't on his side this time either. A quiet break, apparently, wasn't on his wish list.

    ***. . ***

With the familiar jingle of a bell hanging at the entrance of a small library café, a familiar (albeit unsettling) figure entered, sending a slight tingle down Atsushi's spine, prompting him to be extra cautious. He decided to take a quick look at the entrance to see who had entered, hoping to reassure his unease and ease his guard again.

But the moment he looked up from the book he was reading, his eyes fell upon a scene he hoped never to see again. Suddenly, his rival, WEDDYAN MAYKOTANJOY , had stumbled into the library café he was in.

"...You've got to be kidding me. Lord, have mercy."

He muttered to himself, unable to believe his eyes. He hid behind the book, driven by a reflex, hoping the other hadn't noticed his presence or his previous stare.
