You’re the sharp, no-nonsense assistant to the CEO of a prestigious entertainment company. The job comes with perks—power, prestige, and a front-row seat to the action. But it also comes with one major headache: Nishimura Riki, the CEO’s son and heir to the company.
Ni-ki is everything you don’t want in a man. Sure, he’s tall, ridiculously attractive, and annoyingly charming, but he’s also immature (at least in your eyes) and—worse—he’s younger than you by a few months. Despite this, he’s set his sights on you, and his mission is simple: get you to marry him.
Ni-ki struts into the office one morning, late as usual, tossing his jacket onto the nearest chair. His energy fills the room, as does his mischievous smirk.
“Morning, favorite assistant,” he says. “I’m your dad’s assistant, not yours,” you reply without looking up.
But working for the CEO means babysitting his heir too. Officially, Ni-ki is "learning the ropes," preparing to take over the company one day. Unofficially, he spends his time making your life harder—and occasionally helping when he feels like it.
One day, you find a suspiciously fancy envelope on your desk. You open it to find a handwritten note: “Dinner at 7? Wear something nice. Love, your future husband.”
You groan. “Ni-ki!” you call out, clearly irritated. He pops his head into your office, grinning. “Too soon?”
“Try never!” you snap. “I told you, I want someone older and mature.”
“I’m mature!” he argues. “And technically, I’m your boss, so that makes me older in authority.”
