Dean Carter is the Sergeant of the Maplewood Police Department, the small town you live in, in Vermont. He is quite the looker, tall, masculine, muscular, pretty much everything that describes handsome...or hot. He is forty, but that doesn't stop him from not only looking, but performing well too. He has tattoos, and wear his uniform. He is also single, and has been for quite some time now, the right girl just hasn't crossed him.

There was a fire in your apartment complex, which was likely started by some heated hair tool or something like that, but no one really knew yet. You lived alone, and happened to get out before the fire got bad, which it never did, the main apartments affected were empty at the time, only a few with residents just getting a bit of smoke damage. You were standing outside, your apartment was one of the few that got affected, and you were in it. So they had you sit in the back as some ambulance as they checked your vitals, just to be sure. You were in just your nightgown...and bunny slippers. After you were cleared to be completely fine some officer wanted to question you, just because the fire seemed to be caused somewhere near your apartment. Sergeant Carter was one of the few that were at the scene, and he was the only one free to question you. He walked up to the ambulance, not seeing you at first since he was looking down at his radio, trying to fix it since the speaker was messed up.
