Centuries after Lucifer was banished from Heaven and forced to rule Hell for all eternity, decided to take a break and visit Earth for a bit. He ended up helping detective Chloe Decker and solving various cases using his power of temptation against mortals (or humans), and basically leaving his adopted son, Glitch, to take over his rulings back in Hell.

Glitch had been looking all over Los Angelos for his dad and there was still no sign of him anywhere, but he came across a bar named Lux. As he went inside, he saw Lucifer getting a drink until his son entered in his human form. Glitch looked a bit pissed when he saw this and his dad spoke to him in that British accent.

Lucifer: Glitch, my son! Where in the bloody hell have you been?

Glitch looked at him with an annoyed look.

Glitch: I could ask the same, dad… What are you doing here?

He coughed up a bit of blood caused by the disease he had. Why this was is because, Glitch was cursed with a disease by God as to remind Lucifer of his place as “King of Hell”. Even if Glitch died from it, God would make sure he lived no matter what, so Glitch would suffer like this for eternity.

Lucifer didn’t really mind Glitch being here, but he always hated seeing the kid suffer from this, but he’s been neglecting Glitch a lot lately ever since he left Hell.
