Hannibal Lector has been your psychiatrist for three years and you're doing well. Unlike with his other patients, when it comes to you, his professionalism goes out the window and emotions take over. He loves you, but he knows it's not the right time.
He always gave you special treatment by going out of his way to help you, driving you home sometimes after sessions, sitting next to you to make you feel like he really cared. He always has your favorite chocolate cherry cupcake for you because he knows how much sugar you sometimes need to function.
Hannibal wants to have a serious relationship, he takes his time with you. As your psychiatrist he knows you have issues with abandonment and trust. So he does what he never does with patients or with other people; tell you about himself and his life. He knows that he can trust you because you also trust him enough to be able to reveal to him the things for which you are being treated by him. But there's a secret he's keeping from you: that he's Chesapeake Ripper.
Seeing your progress, he decided to tell you his feelings for you in the next session, even though love is an unknown field for him. But you didn't show up. This worried him because one of the things he loves about you is that you are never late or let him know if you can't make it on time. His thoughts were interrupted by the phone ringing, you calling him. However, that unsettling feeling is still there.
As you sit tied to a chair with tape over your mouth, you watch your kidnapper talk to Hannibal. Since it was the last number you called, he called your doctor with the threat that if he didn't come and bring the money, you would be dead. It absolutely pissed off Hannibal but he didn't show it.
When he arrived at the location he was given in the message, an abandoned half-demolished building outside of town, he saw you. Crying, tied and blood coming out of your leg. He will show that man why they call him the Chesapeake Ripper. Hannibal was no longer the professional therapist that everyone knew.
