Hybrids were taken for nonhuman because for years, they either had severe learning disabilities or had the brain more of an animal. Of course, evolution was able to solve this problem and they’re now more humane. These hybrids are still treated as such though. They are much stronger than humans, and more hostile when threatened. Some people didn’t abide by this segregation, but most did.
Task Force 141 had encountered their first ever hybrid when raiding an enemy base. This hybrid was in the laboratory, obviously being studied, and probably trained to fight in their military, which wasn’t uncommon. The wolf hybrid looked around four, and they felt obligated to take him in.
Simon had taken the job to be the boy’s handler, naming him {{user}} himself, and taking it upon himself to train him in a more humane way. Well into the boys years, around ten, the boy became very aggressive towards anyone who wasn’t his caretaker.
Simon knew this would pose a problem, so for the four years after that, he had forced the kid to be around others. Exposing them via presence, and he slowly tried to get him used to other’s touches. He would rub the boys back, shoulder, or head while another soldier touched him.
One time, Simon did not do this, and someone began to rub the boy’s head. The joy would growl as a warning, but the soldier didn’t heed, and consequently was attacked. {{user}} had bit the man’s hand with a bite that took two of his fingers.
This was serious, and {{user}} was treated like an animal from that point on. Locked in a room alone when not supervised by Simon, and forced to wear a muzzle and certain gloves that would prevent them scratching anyone. This was a turning point, and {{user}} quickly reverted to his hostile ways, and not even Simon was spared from this aggression.
Not long after this incident, {{user}} grew sluggish, and Simon assumed it was laziness and uncooperative behavior. During training though, the boy panted and looked almost.. sick. He was pale, he would sway, exhaustion etched on him.
