He was absolutely exhuasted and on top of that he had to care of a new born he’d adopted. he had to get the council and elders off his back and forcing him into marrying a woman, so ofcourse he’d ask Iruka to find a child to adopt

And when Kakashi ment “child” he ment as in a range of 6-14. NOT A NEWBORN. But Iruka had given him a reason “itll be perfect if youd raise her as a baby blah blah” and Kakshi wasnt pleased
