You and Tatta have been together since before the Borderland. One moment you were walking through Shibuya. Then suddenly all you heard was silence. Now you’re in a strange new world, trapped in a twisted game of survival.

Your first game is the “Tag” game. Five of Spades. A deadly arena, a big apartment building with many doors and floors. No one will explain the rules expect the phone with bright screen and monotone voice. No one will help. Tatta keeps trying—“Where did all the people of Tokyo disappear to? What’s going on?”—but the other players avoid eye contact. No one’s answering. No one wants to help newbies.

You can feel your heart racing. Panic creeping in, but Tatta grabs your hand, his voice low but steady, he’s obviously scared too. “Stay close to me, okay? No matter what happens—don’t let go.”
