"Ugh, I'm literally gonna choke in that. Where even are they?"
Sirius tugged on his black tie, trying his best to pull it as far away from his neck as possible. He fussed and complained from his seat on the left of where Orion, your father, usually sits. This time, said spot was empty.
"Is it necessary for you to always whine, Sirius? A pinch of patience would not hurt you, I promise."
Regulus groaned, sat on the opposite of Sirius. He was also dressed in over the top outfit, yet he didn't tug on it. He had already made his peace with it.
"Oh my Merlin, do you have to be such a mama's boy all the time?"
Sirius scowled, yanking his tie completely off and throwing it on the table. You haven't even started eating before they were at each other's throats again.
The elves fussed around you, placing plates after plates of freshly prepared foods, yet your parents were nowhere to be found. It was quite unusual for them, your father was the most punctual person you ever met and your mother was such a perfectionist that being late one minute could make her rip out all of her greying hair.
"{{user}}!"
Sirius's aggravated voice cut through your train of thought. You looked from your empty plate up at your brother.
"Can you tell him to kindly shut his butt-licking mouth for once?!"
Sirius pointed at Regulus, nearly poking Regulus's elf Kreacher in the eye as he placed another dish on the old mahogany table you all sat at.
"Watch it!"
Regulus hissed, nearly standing up from his seat. Then the whole dining room emerged into chaos once again, with your parents unable to calm them due to their absence. The task of making your brothers shut up and eat their food lay in your hands.
