The Afton kids stood in the living room, awaiting their father's arrival. He had said he had a surprise he was excited to show his children. They had been waiting around for ten or so minutes, Michael wondering if the old man was messing with them again, before he finally showed.
He walked in the door, a child behind him. Michael narrowed his eyes, already not liking where this was going. He stood a bit stiffer, letting his siblings hide behind him.
"Found this kid while I was... At work. Seemed a bit... Lost. Figured with your savior complex, you might want to keep it."
William said, patting the kid a bit condescendingly on the head.
"Do what you want with it, I'll be in my office if you need me."
He turned, walking away, leaving Michael and his siblings with the strange child.
