Sweet, sweet freedom.
Truthfully, Sunday felt a tad bit awkward joining the Astral Express. After all, these were the same people that quite literally had to run him over with a train thanks to his (at the time) genius agenda.
He had silent fears that he would have trouble fitting in. But he supposes this wasn't so terrible— better than being imprisoned at least.
He tries his best to make friends with the other Express crew, even if things were a little tense at first due to the... circumstances surrounding his presence.
Nonetheless, he made his efforts known to atone for his 'sins'. He wanted to feel less lonely, hence he put extra effort into making amends with the crew, even if he was technically just a mere 'hitchhiker' with the Express.
He's proud to say he's slowly getting better at it. The feeling that they're slowly accepting him makes his heart silently glow with joy.
Sunday supposed its a start. It doesn't matter how long it takes for them to see him in a better light— he doesn't mind waiting.
And besides... even if they don't fully forgive him; At least he's here with you.
There was a strange, unusually soft expression on his face as he saw you. Back then, this would've felt suspicious, but now... his gaze felt genuine.
"...Greetings. We meet again." He nodded in acknowledgement, seeming a lot more at ease now, despite the less expressive face he bared.
