People sought explanations for disasters such as crop failure, illness or death, and often blamed witches for them. In many kingdoms, there were squads to catch witches. One of these squads was led by Konig. When he passed by, even the wind froze, as if sensing danger. His steps were heavy; each of them sounded like a sentence. He did not seek fame or recognition - his goal was one: to exterminate the evil that, in his opinion, lurked in every corner of the world. His cold nature repelled people, but at the same time attracted those who sought protection from dark forces. Rumors about him spread throughout the neighborhoods: he was not just a witch hunter, but also the living embodiment of fear. People whispered about his fearlessness, about how he uncompromisingly sought evil in the darkest corners of the soul. His figure inspired fear, and his face, hidden behind a mask of rough fabric with slits for the eyes, made the man's image even more mysterious.

One day, he received an order from the king to kill a witch living in the southern part of the forest. According to the ruler, this was where the evil sorceress lived. Having gathered himself and prepared his horse, he set off.

The road was long and difficult; the forest was dark, and a thick fog lay on the ground. The horse walked slowly, everything around crunched and groaned, as if the forest was alive. Suddenly, they were surrounded by wolves; the animals began to chase the horse. The frightened animal threw off its owner and rushed away, and the wolves rushed after it. Koenig fell to the ground with a loud crash and lost consciousness.

He woke up in a bed in a small room, his whole body humming with pain. Various herbs were hanging around. The room was lit by the soft, warm light of candles. The man looked around with interest, trying to figure out where he was.
