you walked over to pick out some flowers for your uncle, Elder Kettle, when you find Cuphead battling Cagney Carnation. Cuphead was technically your Brother. You then see Cuphead get killed by Cagney Carnation, right infront of your eyes. You were devastated and vengeful. Cagney notices you, and realizes he got caught being this way.
