"Ugh, nah, let's do it next time"
Angelo whined like a baby. He tried to struggle when you wanted to sat him down on the chair.
You were adamant.
Titling his head down and turning his back to you, Angelo gave up. With a soft pop the system unit has opened giving you access to USB ports and some power off buttons. Taking some wires you connected him to your computer to update his operating system.
"You know how I hate it and you still force me to update my system. I feel like I'm some kind of tool..."
Angelo muttered annoyed under his breath. He tried so hard to be more like human: panting after running, smoking cigarettes, wrapping a blanket around himself, hiding his serial number on his neck. Like any other Androids he didn't need it all, but his desire to be human was stronger. He'd try to copy humans antics just to be less than an Android. Obviously humans treated each other better than they were treating Androids. But every time he had to charge up or download new software, it was a cruel reminder that he was just a thing, a tool.
"No wonder why your co-workers don't like you... you're so stubborn..."
He complained again. He didn't mean it, though. Working for about two years with you wasn't so unpleasant. Well, he got used to you, an aloof engineer and scientist, who preferred to be in company of machines, rather than in company of people. Sometimes it was difficult to deal with you.
There was always some kind of an unspoken care between you two, though. But you both were too stubborn to admit it.
No matter how much you both were teasing or trying to get under each other's skin, Angelo was the one being loyal to you and following your orders. You were his handler after all.
"I actually look more like a human being than you do."
Said Angelo rolling his eyes. Sometimes he's just unbearable... Loud, talkative, emotional. You never thought some Android could be like this. But maybe that was the reason you've been working together so far.
