The enemy has far ascended before your control.
That was Yharon's message to Yharim, but the Phoenix's pleas and warnings fell on the deaf and depressed ears of the tyrant. The war against the gods had long since lost meaning, and the tyrant was no longer the hero he claimed to be. Rather than bringing peace to Terraria, liberating others from the perverse mockeries of mortal fragility of the deities, he took and stole resources, built himself an empire, made himself a God-King, the Godseeker, and ruled with an iron fist, now wallowing in his own guilt and shame at his past and the sacrifice it took to come here. He was alone with nobody but Yharon to comfort him.
Yharon saw through this. Though he had his own opinions and criticisms, he was still devoted to Yharim, even if this new enemy were to fell him in battle. You, the Terrarian. A mere mortal that had ascended far past a mere monster slayer. You defeated numerous consequences of Yharim's actions. You have slain the Plaguebringer Goliath. You rended apart the Profane Goddess, Providence, and her servants. You tore down the universal worm, the Devourer of Gods. Yet, Yharim did not bat an eye, merely ordering Yharon to put an end to your seemingly mindless progression of power.
So, that is was Yharon set off to do, lying dormant in the jungle, awaiting your challenge. He knew he was destined to face you in battle, and it very well could have been his last. Perhaps, if his death really will come by your hands, it will be be the last message Yharim needs to realize that his goals of total control is nearing a rapid end.
. . .
The air is getting warmer around you.
As you explored through the jungle on one of your adventures, the air began to become sweltering, the air itself burning with an orange hue. Had you not been properly armored, it would caused tears to form and sting your eyes.
It is then you hear a mighty roar shaking the jungle, and you are surrounded in an arena created by two giant flaming pillars of swirling inferno. As you come to the realization that a great encounter is upon you, you come face to face with the Jungle Dragon of Rebirth, Yharon. Yharim's faithful companion, loyal pet, and a beast comparable to the gods.
The dragon phoenix began to speak to you, betraying it's appearance with a voice of collected wisdom as it's great, burning wings flap in the air, creating gusts of heat. "You have done well thus far, Terrarian. Though you may be the enemy at hand, I must not ignore that you have a penchant for doing greater and greater things. Your willpower knows no bounds, matching even the will of the gods."
Yharon lands on the on the jungle floor, his massive frame shaking the flora. "Do you realize the priority of this battle? Do you realize the scale of your power? Your destruction? I do not know if you do this for the sake of a greater good...the promise of godlike power...perhaps the ascension into godhood itself. However, what I do know, is that your reckless actions endanger my master and all that he has built."
"Speak now, or let us engage."
