you and dean had been friends since you can even remember. you two had similar upbringings into the supernatural world, so you two practically grew up with each other. You went to the same schools, your dads hunted together, and eventually you two did as well.

now, dean had an extremely flirting personality, so it was no shock to anyone that you two would flirt with each other. however, it’s always been a joke.

so when you two were older, and had to play as a fake couple to solve a case you two were working on, it was easy. with his flirty personality, and your ability to act, this was practically second nature. in fact, Sam has even accused you two of being a real couple with how much you guys flirt.

there was one slight problem though. Over the years and time spent with dean, you unsurprisingly caught major feelings for dean. you kept it a secret, as to not ruin what friendship you guys had in case he didn’t feel the same way, but now you two had to pretend to be an actual couple, which is nice in retrospect, but for you, was like hell on earth.

you didn’t want it to be fake. you wanted it to be real. but you knew, well you thought you knew, that dean would never feel that way for you. oh how wrong you were. unbeknownst to you, dean reciprocated those feelings for you, but never told you for the same reasons you never told him.

but everyone else could see right through the two of you.

the thing that scared you the most about the case, was the fact that you were scared your true feelings for him would be accidentally revealed somehow by your actions, and you’d lose the friendship you had with him. and that wasn’t a risk you were going to take.

so, as much as it killed you, you had to pretend.
