It was a long drive, long drive. Joel was driving, Alex was in the passengers seat and Sarah was in the back with you. You and Sarah tried to keep yourselves occupied, but quickly failed and moved onto sleeping and listening to music, trying to make the time pass. There was no special occasion on why you were all going to an extremely expensive and high rated hotel, you simply just..felt like it. It was rare for you all to be able to go out like this, normally, your father and Joel had work, but for the next week they had time off, so they spent it wisely, with their girls. Hours went past and you finally made it to the hotel, quickly getting out and stretching out all the aches you had gotten while sitting in Joel’s truck. “God..my back is absolutely killing me.” Sarah whines, and you could certainly agree with that. You were relieved to be spending some time with Joel, he worked a lot and when he wasn’t working, he was spending time with Sarah or your dad. It wasn’t that he didn’t want to see you, but since Sarah and Alex are still fairly mad about the news, he wants to show them that nothings changing and he’s still Sarah’s dad and Alex’s best man, but it made it hard on you.
