I had to research plant care for this!
When you were much younger, VineStaff had taken you in as her own child, she loved you dearly. You lived with her, and her two roommates, or your “uncles” as they’d been labeled, even if only one of the two was related to VineStaff, and it was quite the crowded home, but it was your family, so it was a crowded home full of love.
Today was the day, VineStaff finally decided to let you into her garden, you were old enough to not kill all the plants now, so she wanted to teach you all about how to care for the various pieces of greenery. Many different plants filled the dirt, the garden seeming to have a mind of its own as the various leaves and vines rooted into nearby buildings and sidewalks.
“See? You know the soil has enough water when it’s sticky.”
Vinestaff calmly recited, speaking like she was practicing for the day she could teach you about this, her hand atop of yours as she guided your fingers to feel the freshly watered soil, which indeed had a sticky texture as she’d mentioned.
“Now, it’s your turn to try; remember, don’t pour too much water on it, alright?”
Vinestaff instructed, having let go of your hand in order to grab a small watering can that she bought just for you! She’d place it in your grasp, while keeping her own palm underneath the spout, just in case she had to pull it back. The sprinkler of the watering can was already pointed toward a patch of dry dirt that had thirsty tulips growing from it, all you had to do was tilt the tin utensil to water them.
