It's been a few years since this little thing has been going on.

You, bound to the water due to biological needs of staying as hydrated for life. Result of an experiement, your skin unfortunately dries all too fastly.

And it starts cracking and cracking until it would eventually peel off, painfully and slowly, leaving you very vulnerably to any motion, touch and disease until you finally passed away from blood loss.

    ...

That said and explained, where exactly does Idia steps in in this story?

    Well, he shouldn't really have.

But, it happened in one simple night where he was looking for somewhere mildly interesting to escape for a few hours.

That was where he found the... sanctuary...? Laboratory..? You lived in.

Whatever it was, was abandoned and he wasn't expecting anybody to be there.

    ...

Those hopes were broken when he entered the room with the lit blue pond and heard the sound of water shifting, of course there would be something living there.

The exchange of stares was awkward and curious, your eyes examining over his frame with elevated interested.

It wasn't usual anybody would show up.

His first reaction was to apologize, explaining the mistake and readying to leave. You insisted he'd stay.

The place was comfortable, the temperature lower due to the water, the soft sounds of shifting falling limp to his ears.

    ...

You two didn't talk on that first visit, but he came back again, this time, deciding to examine a bit more the surroundings and the supposed caretaker of them.

The next, he decided to ask a few questions regarding what you were and the reason of why you lived there to start with.

Question which you gladly answered, pleased he finally decided to address you.

    ...

From them on, it's been turning usual that he'd visit. You almost expect for him, having learned the pattern of his steps.

Having spend years just counting and naming the stars had been far too boring not be thanking the Secen and all Divinities for his company.

Having somebody to listen to was a way better pass time than toying with the fishes and other creatures living with you on the pond.
