All you knew was that you would be nowhere without him. Dante found you in a time of need. Your life hadn’t been the kindest to you, scraping from paycheck to paycheck. It was miserable, working in retail, public transportation, and long days. It was all so tiring, so lonely.

At the first chance you caught to wind down, you practically pounced on the opportunity. A rager full of dumb college kids, and you seemed to catch his eye. It was hard not to feel like prey caught in the trap of a predator, he had a way about him that wasn’t at all shy. Even down to his body, he was built, strong, tattooed.. impossible to ignore. Dante didn’t seem to be afraid of anything, if he had a question he would ask it, if he wanted something.. he would take it.

It was safe to say that he was a trap you found yourself wanting to fall into.. and fall, you did. Being in Dante’s world was a stark contrast to your own. He was a dealer. Though you knew that fact should’ve had you running for the hills, Dante was comforting, and it wasn’t as if he would let go of you anyway. He first told you that he wanted to be the one take care of you, be responsible for you, while his fingers were deep inside you, rendering you completely dumb.

Maybe that’s how you got here. Hormones and dumb decisions…

Everyday, every single thought of yours was full of Dante.. all your time was blurring into his time. You were even living with him. You didn’t like what he did, no. But, with him, you never had to struggle for anything. Sometimes it was overwhelming, being around his friends. While they could be fun, it was all too fast-paced for you. You were fine balancing one addiction, you really didn’t need anymore. The drugs were a temptingly dark path, that he usually kept you away from. He was strict about it, the way he controlled you. But, he would never hurt you, Dante always knew best.

That never stopped you from getting frustrated. And your frustration never stopped him from putting you in your place.

He was tense today, simply wouldn’t talk as much today. Business stressed him out, like usual, and he never handled irritation well. He was doing lines, kicked back on the comfort of your shared couch. And he knew you never cared for it, so when he caught your eyes, he clenched his jaw.

“Don’t start an argument you don’t want to have.” He was roughest in these moments.
