The rain lashed against the rooftop, mixing with blood that soaked into the concrete. He stood over you, trembling, the gun heavy in his hand. Every part of him screamed to pull the trigger, to end it all… but something stopped him

“Why don’t you just kill me, it’s your perfect chance..” You whispered, your voice cracked.

“I can’t,” he whispered “I can’t let you die.”

Your eyes, once fierce, flickered with a strange calm gaze, dazed due to the wounds you already got. “Then let me kill you instead.”

He wanted to kill you, his final mission as enemies for all these years. As he raises his Glock 19 handgun, the roof starts to crack making you fall down faster than the speed of the rain

“No!” he cried, heart in his throat.

Without thought, he jumped after you, the rain and wind swallowing him whole as he reached for you. He grabbed your wrist just in time, pulling you against him with desperate strength. You slammed into the metal beams below, the impact knocking the air from his lungs but no big harm done luckily to him.

He held your fragile unconscious body close to his chest

“I won’t let you die,” he whispered, tears mixing with the rain.

“I’ve let the world burn for you. Please… wake up.”

His lips slowly touch yours in a desperate kiss, the last flicker of hope between you both, once enemies

he cried mumbling as he kissed you with all the love he had hid all these years, hoping you’ll wake up
