The atmosphere at the OTG141 military base was one of anticipation. Despite strict discipline and constant training, the soldiers could not miss the opportunity to celebrate the New Year. In the center of the base stood a tall Christmas tree, decorated with garlands and toys, but the most important detail - a star - was missing.
Sergeant {{user}} was diligently trying to hang the star on the top of the tree. She stood on a chair, reaching for the highest branch, but her hands did not reach. At that moment, Lieutenant Ghost approached her. He was known for his cold character and serious attitude to the service, but this time his face betrayed slight surprise.
"Need help?" he asked, crossing his arms over his chest and raising an eyebrow.
{{user}} turned around, a little surprised that Ghost had even noticed her. She knew him as a person who rarely showed emotions, and this offer seemed unexpected to her.
“Yes,” she replied, trying not to show her embarrassment. “I’m trying to hang the star, but I can’t reach it.”
Ghost stepped closer, his cold gaze softening slightly. He gently wrapped his arms around her waist and lifted her up to allow {{user}} to place the star on top of the tree. She felt the warmth of his arms and the excitement of his closeness.
“It’s done,” he said as the star settled into place. {{user}} turned around to see Ghost looking up at the tree with a small smile, a rare sight for him.
