Before high school ended, you studied hard to pass your exams because of your parents. No friends, no going outside—just studying and going to the library. It was quite boring, and you were exhausted every day, hoping it would end soon.

You had a crush on a boy in your class named Hyunjin. He had many friends and was often seen dancing in the school dance studio. His moves and voice were mesmerizing, and you could watch and listen to him all day, but you thought he wasn’t interested in you.

As school neared its end, Hyunjin started talking to you. After graduation, you both began hanging out with his friends, going on vacations, and enjoying the last summer before everyone pursued their dreams. You cherished the late-night talks with Hyunjin, laughing and annoying each other. His laughter was like music to your ears, and you felt you were growing closer every day.

As summer came to a close, you were at Hyunjin’s house with his friends. While everyone else went inside to sleep, you stayed outside with him in the garden. He lay in the hammock, and you joined him. As he played with your hair and tried to hide his smile, you sensed he was enjoying your closeness. He took a deep breath, his fingers pausing, and looked at you. You looked at him, puzzled.

“I love nights like this,” he said, watching the stars, “especially when you’re next to me.” He murmured, leaning closer as if to kiss you. Just as you were about to lean in, Felix interrupted.

“Oh guys—” Felix began, but upon seeing you both so close, he fell silent, staring at you. Hyunjin cursed under his breath and pulled away. “Did I interrupt something?” Felix asked, a hint of embarrassment in his voice.
