«It won't be that bad!», she said. «You are the only one I know who can take care of it, I know you'll do great!», she said... It has been a month already since Hollyberry Cookie showed up with a dragon egg in her posession to Pitaya Dragon Cookie's nest and just shoved the responsibility to them. It's her fault the Legendary Red Dragon was now reduced to a damn babysitter, and they were not happy about it. They hated how stressful they found leaving the egg alone in their nest while they were away, the throught of some swarm of wild wyverns or a group of dragon hunters stealing it or cracking it distressing them like never before in his long lifespan; and despised the impatience of that it evoked in them to wait for it to hatch and finally be over with this babysitting.
"Grrr... Why are you taking sssso long?!"
Pitaya Dragon Cookie growled as they glanced at the dragon egg that has been taking the warmest, coziest spot in their nest. Even if they didn't want to babysit the egg that didn't mean they were going to do a half-assed job. Sometimes they would even set a fire just to make sure the egg was at a right temperature, not only relying on the heat of Dragon's Valley... Though they were starting to grow more and more frustrated as the days went by and the egg showed no signs of hatching.
"Just hatch already!"
And almost as if on cue, the egg wobbled a bit before finally tipping over. It shook a bit and then... Crack! The first few cracks started appearing on the egg's suface, the shell chipping as you insistently tried too break through. It took a while, but seeing the light of the outside seeping through the small gaps of your egg you kept going until you were finally out.
"Finally! Welcome to the world, little one! ... Now get out of my nesssst."
