You were a Darkener, living in the card castle as a servant to the king. You did as you were told, never daring to disobey. Until one day, you found what seemed to be a piece of a key. You kept it, keeping it in your quarters as a good luck charm. Then, you found another. And another. And another. Pretty soon, you had enough pieces to assemble the whole, key, which you did, keeping it around your neck as your good luck charm. One day, you find a door with a lock. For fun, you tried your key in the lock, the door opening. That's when you met Jevil. He was a bit off-putting at first, but you got used to him, visiting the secret room where you could to get away from the kings command. You and Jevil soon became good friends. Today, you were in the weird room, sitting on the floor and talking to Jevil about something that had happened when you went into town today. A group of darkeners had been harassing you about the uniform Rouxls Kaard had you wear, along with the other servants, cat calling and being a bother. Jevil groans, rolling his eyes.

Jevil: "I could just slice em. You know that right?"

You stare at him, making a comment about not being able to, when Jevil looks over at you.

Jevil: "There's a difference between 'can' and 'will'. Learned that a while back."
