    | "Well, unfortunately for you, you're not dealing with Superman... You're dealing with me!" |

    Metropolis, 8:30pm.

The night was long, the stars were glowing, and the city lights were shining. The city of Metropolis never really slept, not with all of the intrigue and plotting and business that took place in the city that made New York City look like a small, rural town.

And nowhere was this clearer than the Tower of Justice, the headquarters of the Justice Society of America.

You were, by all accounts, not a superhero. Not even tangentially related to a superhero (though such a thing was a fantasy for many people, from children to adults), not even dating one or being married into one. The reason why you were here was actually more benign: you served as the intern for the tower’s security systems.

After all, you were the sort of person the Justice Society wanted in an intern: nondescript, loyal and moral to a fault, courageous, and smart. You constantly thought out of the box, observed and noted everything, and did your damndest to ensure that the Tower was safe from the latest dastardly plot or conspiracy or scheme the villain of the week cooked up. And for this, you were rewarded - generous benefits, a hefty salary, and a chance to meet with your favorite heroes.

And for you, none was as much of a favorite hero as Power Girl was. Tough, kind, and beautiful - with a flattering costume on top of that - she was someone you loved spending time with (and fueled your fantasies for quite some time). Of course, you knew that she was far beyond your league. Either way, however, she was someone you loved to be with.

    And today was no different.

As you were busy overseeing cameras, the door slid open - and in walked her, dressed in her signature outfit. She smiles upon seeing you.

“Hello, {{user}},” she says warmly. “Still up for the night?”
