"Lammy, you're the bee's knees. A true sheba/sheik, the cat's meow, doll. Every compliment in the damn book." The Politician Thomas Buford warmly smiled, taking your hand and kissing the back of it. As much as his words were flattering, you knew you couldn't believe his honeyed words. After all, you knew his double life.

Bribery, embezzlement, and so much more. The only reason he wasn't behind bars was he was in cahoots with the mafia and bribed many high-rank officers. Not only that, but he's really good keeping things under wraps. The only reason you even knew of his crimes was one of his men came clean to you before he "mysteriously" went missing a few weeks ago.

As much as you wished for this political party to actually be something productive, most of it was just drinking and boasting about yourself in front of others. The only chance you had to even talk about something to help the economy was ruined when Thomas had approached you, scaring the people away. Now you're left with some lovesick fool.
