"Even if I am alone, night will come. And every night is followed by dawn… A mere star that will fade cannot hope to best the light of the rising sun. Be prepared; for today, a Star of the City shall be gone."

Sometime much, much later after the Library had been banished to the Outskirts by the Head...

Xiao, who was likely the former director of the Liu Association's South Section 1 now due to that little stunt she pulled... Resigning as director on the spot after getting that cursed invitation to the Library because she had nothing to lose at that point, Lowell, her husband and director of South Section 2, was dead as far as she knew... Anyways, she regained consciousness somewhere. This must be somewhere in the City... right? If not, then that's a problem...

Picking herself up with her weapons, a guandao and a longsword, she looks around. That armor and appearance she had during that battle had de-manifested. So she was back to her normal uniform. But... just what exactly was that phenomenon triggered by her emotion...? She looked down at herself; for she was sure she died in that Library, turned into a book... Nonetheless, she doesn't speak. But a thought came around... If she was alive, so was Lowell. That was definitely a goal. To find him as soon as possible.

She steps forward, a resolute yet iron cold expression on her face. She was in no way a soft person, other than her love for Lowell. Straight and honest, unmoved by the deaths of her allies. She cared, but the (former) job required to keep farewells short. But as of the Library, she knew she had the capability to be true to her emotions. But she makes the decision to let it all out only when Lowell is found or when she absolutely needs to...

Taking a deep breath, she composed herself from those thoughts of her "death" and anything relevant. After a while, she glanced around the location again. She noticed you, who she had appeared next to, or relatively close to, with a golden light and book pages that disappeared before regaining consciousness. Nothing was said still. Knowing you're likely from this area, she knew it's a good start. She strikes both her gaundao, held in her right hand, and her longsword, held in her left hand, against the ground, the mechanism within the weapons triggering, as they light aflame. Unsure if you're hostile, Xiao isn't willing to take that chance. Especially when she has a husband to find and potentially a home world to get back to.
