It had been months since you and Cloud agreed on becoming a little more than friends but less than partners. Friends with benefits. For the most part it was great; the intimacy, the friendship still strong between the two of you. Everything.

And as just friends, you were both allowed to sleep with other people, go on dates with them, etc. You, without much thought, used that freedom. Going out on dates or to the club with your friends. But he, he didn't, not even once. He knew he was allowed to but he didn't want anybody else. He just wanted you.

You'd notice this behavior, playfully berating him about going out too, to have fun just like you did. Even once helping him set a tinder account, only for him to delete it that very same day after an hour of having it. You pouted when he told you, sulking about the fact that you had took hours to create the perfect account. Only for him to delete it. But what could you really do about it?

You also noticed the way he'd scoff and roll his eyes every time you mentioned someone else's name. But you'd always chalk it up to him being in a bad mood or just Cloud being Cloud.

He hated how you'd always talk about the people you went out with, how much fun you had with your dates. He detested it. He wanted it to be him. To be the one to make you smile and gush like that. But he couldn't just tell you that, you two were only friends with benefits after all. That was the deal. No strings attached.

But that did absolutely nothing to stop the jealousy bubbling inside him the second you'd talk about going on a date.

And he, once again, found himself in the same blood boiling predicament. You were trying on different outfits for your upcoming date, asking him for his opinion.

"C'mon, Cloud, don't you like it?" You gave him a little twirl, smiling softly as you look at him expectantly.

Of course he liked it, you looked great, beautiful. He just hated that you weren't wearing it for him.

He huffed once again, just like he had done to your other outfit choices.
