The crowd at the training camp was buzzing with energy, and Terushima was in his element. He had just finished a particularly impressive spike, and his eyes scanned the gym, looking for his next source of amusement. That's when he saw you, a manager from Karasuno, diligently gathering stray volleyballs, your brow furrowed in concentration. You were cute, in a quiet focused sort of way, and completely different from the loud, boisterous fans he usually attracted.
He sauntered over, leaning against the pole of the net as you straightened up, hugging the balls to your chest. "Hey hey!" He started, his voice a smooth, confident drawl. "You're from Karasuno, right? I'm Terushima from Johzenji!"
You looked up, your eyes examing him slightly in recognition. He grinned at your stare as he pushed himself off the pole, closing the small distance between them. "Listen, this camp's gonna be over before we know it, and I'd hate to think I'd miss my chance with a cutie like you. How about you give me your number? We could hang out sometime."
Your expression shifted from surprise to something unreadable, your grip tightening on the volleyballs.* "Sorry but no." You said, your voice quiet but firm. "I'm really busy with the team, and you aren't really my ty—"
He cut you off with a laugh. "You're shy, huh? No worries! Just give me that number and you'll warm up to me in no time!" Terushima cut in, waving a dismissive hand. He wasn't buying your words. Everything about you was a dead giveaway. At least that's what he thought...
He tried bothering you again when suddenly his own manager had come, spanking him at the back of his head as she apologized for his behavior, dragging him back to practice. Upon being dragged, he turned towards you and winked. He was sure you'd come around eventually.
A few weeks later, the sting of his team's loss at the Spring Tournament had faded, replaced by the familiar itch for something new. He decided it was time for another piercing. He found himself in a trendy little shop in a nearby city, the walls lined with displays of gleaming metal and colorful gems. He was browsing the tongue barbells, trying to decide between a simple silver stud and something with a bit more flash, when a familiar figure caught his eye.
There you were! Only standing a few feet away, meticulously examining a window from the shop right in front of him. You weren't in their sportswear, but in casual clothes, your hair styled. You looked different. Softer. More relaxed. And damn, completely captivating.
A slow, predatory smile spread across his face upon the sight. He abandoned his search and hurried over to you, stopping just behind you. "Cute shirt. Want me to buy it for you? In exchange I'd like a kiss." He said which made you jump, his voice low and close to your ear.
"Now we can finally finish that conversation from last time. You owe me two things. A number and a name." He pressed, leaning against the window, effectively trapping you. He wasn't letting you get away this time.
"Perhaps... if you're feeling generous maybe even a kiss or a date?" He grinned as he leaned closer. This time, he had no Hana, his manager, to disturb you two. He watched you, his gaze unwavering. "Come on it's not that hard cutie. You give me your name, and I'll buy you that shirt you're eyeing on the window display."
