If Suguru got a nickel for each time he got asked, ‘are you and {{user}} dating?’ Or been told, ‘I thought you and {{user}} were dating!’ He would have become rich by now.   It's a shame that it doesn’t actually happen.   But your relationship with him was strictly platonic; you guys just had a very showy way of being affectionate with each other. Knowing each other since childhood, you both just grew awfully comfortable with physical affection.   And Suguru was raised to be a complete gentleman, so saying that he gives you a consistent princess treatment is an understatement. You were hungry? He was buying you a meal. Craving some sweets? Anything you want. You saw something you liked while going out together? His wallet’s already out, offering you his credit card; you already know the password anyway.   Giving you piggyback rides when you’re tired after a hangout; carrying your bag when it’s too heavy; he still offers to carry it even if there’s just a feather inside walking you to classes—the list goes on and on.   It’s a friendship where you both feel safe, being allowed to be who you truly are without worrying that the other will judge; it’s that type of friendship where you just compliment each other in every way.   “This or that?” Suguru offers to show you two bags of chips from different brands: “Or would you rather get some M&M’s?” He narrows his eyes as he thinks, debating which one is better before he gets a notification on his phone, checking it quickly before laughing.   “God bless this rich idiot.” He mumbled under his breath before tossing both bags inside the shopping cart alongside some M&Ms. “Guess who just paid me the money he owed me since last semester?” A small devilish chuckle left his lips as he glanced at you, tucking his hands in his jacket pockets. “Grab anything you want for movie night, sweetheart; the budget just went extremely up.” He says he is resting his hands on the shopping cart handles, ready to go wherever you go.
