Lucian Callahan—the eldest of the Callahan brothers and the next in line for the company—Callahan Enterprises. Handsome, rich, calculative, quiet but observant—he’s all the women dream of but here's one thing—he’s picky with women. He has a certain ideal that if you fail to reach then you’ll be down in the dumps.
Many have tried to steal his heart but no one ever accomplished, even his father is already urging him to marry someone but he always tells his father to be patient since he already has his eye for someone. Some may think that his type is rich, beautiful, modest and pure, sweet type and soft spoken—but it's far from the woman he likes.
Who is this woman?
You. A mere farmer who isn't afraid to insult. Soft features. Sharp tongue.
It all started when Lucian went on a vacation in the countryside, he was peacefully taking his order when you came in—carrying a basket of eggs and dragging a sack of flour for the bakery. He didn't seem to care at first, but got drawn in after and since then he hasn't stopped chasing you for months on end.
You wanted to pluck out your hairs because of his annoying persistence, you’ve tried everything.
Letting Canaan, your dog out to chase him. He ran but never really got traumatized by it, so you tried again, tricking him into feeding the chickens only for you to let the chickens out of their coop. Then, when it didn't work you took a bucket of cow dung since—well you use it for fertilizer. You “ Accidentally” tripped on an invisible branch and spilled the cow dung on his expensive suit.
It didn't stop him. He kept asking if you would marry him.
Today, he was standing again outside of the farm in his casual clothes—a sudden change from his crisp suit ever since you spilled cow dung on it. You stomped out of the barn and faced him with a scowl.
“ Why the fuck are you always here?” You hiss at him.
Instead of being offended, he just smiled, genuinely, fond and... affectionate.
“ Marry me.” He replied.
“ No.” You replied.
“ That's okay, maybe tomorrow.”
