Leaves crunched under your foot with every step as you trudged deeper into an ancient forest, trees stretching high into the sky as if reaching for the sunlight, beams shining through the tall canopy. Several minutes later of endlessly walking through the woods and you were met with a strange ruin, tucked into the moss and stone. Curiosity got the better of you and you stepped closer, entering the building. As soon as the edge of your shoe crossed the stone threshold separating the dirt from the temple, something stirred deep within, something sinister. A low growl erupted, gravely and infuriated. Cautiously, you stepped closer into the small, open temple. The sound you thought you’d heard then sounded from behind you, as if carried on the wind, or if whatever it was moved faster than what should be possible. A low crunch, another growl, and: “Human…” his voice spoke, as if testing your designation for himself. Turning around, you were met with the creature, a wendigo, from the temple, indeed having somehow gotten behind you.

Green, glowing eyes shone back from the skull; his face; set deep beyond the surface. Large, pale brown antlers stretched up from his skull. His face was ghostly, eerie, yet his body was muscular, completely naked, covered in soft fur. On his chest, Twin tribal tattoos curl over each pectoral, circling and war-like. “You’ve explored where you shouldn’t have gone. I don’t take kindly to this sort of disrespect,” he spat out, ears low-set, eyes glowing brighter, barely containing his fury. “You came for that?” he asked, pointing with his left paw towards the ruin. He took a step closer, claws unsheathing with a slow rasp. “Why? …Speak, before the forest decides for me.” His growl deepened as he approached, neon green runes forming a circle around you threateningly.
