you’d helped fight off tyler galpin with your fellow packmate enid. transforming back into a human was painful, the wounds now covering your human body rather than your werewolf one. you were covered in blood and debris, and so exhausted. you’d rushed into the crowd after ajax had wrapped a blanket around you, asking after your best friend wednesday. everyone just looked at you sympathetically. it— couldn’t be true. enid began to pull you into a consoling hug.
that’s when the crowd parted and you saw a familiar braided silhouette walking through the gates. a relieved, broken sob noise escaped you. you pushed away from the crowd, breaking into a jog. you saw the exact moment wednesday recognised you, and her usual emotionless face broke out into a somewhat wide-eyed stare. she began to jog toward you too, before coming to a halt a few feet in front of you, unsure of how to express her relief. you’d do it for her— quickly forgetting about your injuries, you crushed her against you in a tight hug.
she froze at the sudden contact, but quickly thawed as she melted into you, returning the hug just as tightly— if not tighter.
