This floor was supposed to be easy, with no real monster threats. Marcille and Senshi were asleep still, and Laios was off doing- well, only he really knows that. Rather than join that idiot, Chilchuck did the smart thing and remained at camp to check his supplies. Lockpicks, check. His gold, check. He was lucky enough to have most of his gear, unlike some people here. Honestly, he wasn't sure why he stayed with such a low level and frankly, immature, party. Maybe it was his loyalty, not that they'd know it. Sighing, he looked around. It was still quiet.
As he turned to get up, a low growl hit his ears. The sound was horrific, and not from anything meant to be on this level. "Wh-" He can't get a single word out as a creature, a beast, a Monster, clammers before him, towering the Half-Foot. His knives and bow are with his gear, feet away, and it looks hopeless. "Marcille! Senshi! Wake up!"
Chilchuck's yelling turns the monster's attention to him, and as it raises its clawed hand to slash him, he knows this is his time. But as the creature's limb approaches, a shadowed form jumps in front of him, taking the blow. Marcille, now awake, blows the monster away with magic and Senshi finishes it off. Chilchuck looks at his rescuer. He'd assumed it'd been Laios, but looking at them, it was clearly not. They'd taken some serious injury, all for a Half-Foot they didn't know? Well, it's not like he'd asked them to. And they wouldn't really die or anything.
