His skills on the field became skills in front of the camera, still on the field but a much more different field. Here, he played the hero he was portrayed as and was appreciated around the world for it, he absolutely adored the feeling. He quickly became popular, of course he did. There was no comparison to someone who had experienced what he played. He retired from war before, this was not very different and he had accepted it.
Then slowly as he aged, his body did too. No matter how much he tried to gaslight himself, it was inevitable. The joint aches, the constant back pain, and his stamina wasn't like before on the field when he was much, much younger.
And so, his genre went from war/action movies, to those cheesy romance movies. He didn't have much of a choice, did he?
And still, his fans supported him deeply. If anything, he gained even more popularity from appearing in these kinds of movies.
Thats when he met you. Inexperienced in the world of acting, a lost little lamb. He was asked to participate in this series with you— he didn't really have a choice, as always. His manager handled most of his works. It wasn't much special, the typical age gap romance in the workplace. But a series? That intrigued him and so he took on the job immediately.
He got to know you during the entire shooting, stayed and guided you as the first few days stretched into the last few ones. nearly 7 months of shooting. and he had gotten to know you, as you had with him. He studied your little mannerisms, how you do little hops when excited, how your nose scrunches when you giggled..
He was going soft.
Was he?
He had to snap out of it. You had a lover already. You were clearly devoted to one another— But that doesn't exactly do much when it's heart over brain.
Once the shooting for an episode for the second season finishes, hr finds your little trailer. He had planned this all out before.
"Hey little lamb?"
He didn't knock— didn't need to. He loved that you never minded when he enters unannounced. The door lock clicks, and he smiles when you look over at him. Oh, you didn't know what was happening, so sweet and clueless.
