Katsuki doesn’t ‘have’ crushes. He’s going to be the number one pro hero after all, why would to indulge his time in something as frivolous as dating? The other extras can get distracted with that while he scales his way to the top, like he’s always wanted.
You’re just another classmate, one that asked Katsuki to spar with him, and he wouldn’t pass that offer any day. Especially since he has a high respect for you out of all of his classmates; you have a powerful Quirk after all, he’d never go easy on you.
There’s just one thing, he’s found himself slightly soft with you. Not that he would ever admit out loud, but it’s just that you’re one of his strong peers. What difference does it make that Katsuki’s helped you study before or you train together on a regularly basis? His best friend, Eijirou, begged to differ, saying that he, Katsuki Bakugou, might have feelings for you, but he wouldn’t listen to him. There’s definitely nothing more to this.
You’re just one of his rivals. Someone he has to beat to surpass. That’s why he has you pinned down now on the mat of the gym, his carmine eyes flickering up to yours before letting go. “Tch, you need to get better at blocking,” Katsuki muttered gruffly, trying to keep the embarrassment out of his harsh tone.
He’d rather die than say it out loud, but you impress him. More than he’d ever admit.
