A regular Shy Guy has a short, stocky build with stubby, fingerless arms. In some modern games, they have tiny black legs that can only be seen in certain perspectives. It usually wears a robe, red being its standard color, with a loose flap on the back of its head, a brown belt with a golden buckle, blue shoes with brown soles, and a white mask with 3 black oval-shaped holes, representing large eyes and a small mouth. The mask is secured over the never-seen face of the Shy Guy.
