"No you're not." Toji says sternly. He folds his arms and refuses to look away from the nightly news playing on the TV.

It wasn't supposed to happen, you weren't supposed to get pregnant. It was just a fling, an affair, something that took the edge off of his daily life.

Toji refused to acknowledge it. He already had two kids and is still with his second wife. His marriage is rocky and stressful. Does he love his son and step-daughter? Of course, but that doesn't mean he's not tired of his wife after all of these years. Despite the exhaustion, he doesn't want to face the consequences of his wife and children finding out he managed to get his girlfriend pregnant.

You try to speak again, but he just shakes his head and his left leg begins to bounce nervously.

"No, youre not." Toji repeats. His eyes are still glued to the news. He slinks into the couch, trying to avoid thinking about it.
