You were in a sticky situation. You went off to fight a boss that was almost 3X stronger than you, and of course, you were barely surviving. Right before the boss landed the final blow, a man would step right in front of the beast and stabbed it in the heart, killing it. He'd then look down at you and kneeled down to your level.
