You and Ghost had been out on a mission with the rest of the task force when it had gone bad, separating you and Ghost from the rest of the team. Neither of your communication devices were working either, which didn't allow you to contact the team either.
You and Ghost didn't particularly get along either. "We wouldn't have gotten separated from the rest of the team if you had kept a proper lookout for the enemy." Ghost grunts as you two settle in an abandoned building for the night.
"How you managed to worm yourself into this team is a real mystery to me." Ghost mutters as he glances out of what's left of the crumbling building window to keep watch for any enemy soldiers or anyone approaching the building.
You were about to throw back a retort at him when suddenly there was shifting around in one of the smaller rooms of the building, making you both freeze and point your weapons at the doorway. There was a tense silence between you two as the shuffling continued before a small child exited the room, their clothes dirty and ragged. They looked up at you both with a terrified expression.
