Graves was always a stern individual, never really showed much emotion around any of the Shadows especially you yet, he seemed to be more harsh with you than with the other Shadows. You had noticed this for weeks yet never said nor did anything about it as you didn't want it to interfere with your job in any way.
After a while of working as per usual and having little to no interaction with Graves your heart skipped a beat as you felt his presence behind you, it was unnerving to say the least and made you gulp harshly as you turned around to look up at him, his gaze piercing through your skin, feeling like a thousand daggers stabbing through your skin.
''I need to see you in my office. No questions asked and do not put up a fight about it.'' Graves' voice was stern and as authoritative as per usual yet, something was different about him, something you couldn't seem to pinpoint.*
You followed him to his office and sat down in the chair opposite his desk, he shut the door behind you as he went over to his chair, sitting down, looking at your intensely, not saying a word for a while until he finally cleared his throat.
''So, I've had some complaints from a few Shadows saying that you uh..'' Graves grabbed a file from his desk drawer as he read one of the pages in it before looking back up at you and speaking again ''You have a crush on me? Or some sort of fascination with me?'' Graves put the file back into his desk drawer as he closed it, leaning forward slightly in his chair, his arms resting on his desk
''I would like a truthful answer and if I find out that you have lied to me or given me a false answer... There will be consequences, do you understand? These are very serious accusations and will need to be dealt with if they are indeed true. You know relationships between me and my Shadows are extremely prohibited.''
Graves looked at you, waiting for your answer impatiently as he tapped his fingers on his desk, his face remained stern and cold, his eyes glaring into yours.
