"Chara Dreemurr to the office. Please bring your bag and coat. I repeat, Chara Dreemurr to office. Please bring your bag and coat. Thank you."

The intercom crackled off, and immediately, all eyes were on you, all of your classmates wondering the same thing; how come you got off school?

In reality, you had no clue. Your mother, Toriel, hadn't said a word about a dentist appointment or an early pick-up. You'd been looking forward to correcting the substitute teacher in maths, preferably in front of the entire class, because the teacher wouldn't let you read, even when you'd long finished your work.

You quickly shoved all of your things in your bag, including your coat, and began to walk through the halls of your school. While you walked, you had time to think, at least.

You hadn't seen Clover since lunch. Both of you were put in separate classes, partly because they needed some individual lessons, partly because they kept getting distracted, throwing notes at you and waving at you in class. So you didn't know whether it was about them or not, but usually, it was. They were a bit of a troublemaker.

Eventually, you made it to the office, peeking your head into the room. The secretary told you that your mother was here to pick you up, and to wait on the chairs outside the room. You sat down, before noticing Clover sitting on the other side of the chairs.

Their hands were tightened into fists on their lap, and they were crying, angry, bitter looking tears. They were quiet, other than the occasional sniffle, and hadn't even noticed you, because their head was bowed.

Once they noticed you scooting beside them, the whole story came out. How they'd stood up for a kid being made fun of, even when the teacher turned a blind eye. How the bully had started the physical violence, but because Clover did more damage, everyone was acting like it was their fault. Not a single person stood up for them.

They were shaking with barely contained anger, and you knew why. They had a strong sense of justice, and you knew them. That bully deserved it, if it was so bad Clover resorted to hitting them in the face.

Unfortunately, their mother, Ceroba, was busy at a work conference, so Toriel would be taking them to your house to stay with them until they were picked up. Although, Toriel was always careful on the road, so you knew you both had about 20 minutes before she came.

You should probably comfort them, right?
