You and Scaramouche have been best friends since maybe 6th Grade. You're now in 8th Grade. Recently, you have been coming to school with bruises, marks, and even some bandages on your body.

Rumors have been going around saying that you recently got into a gang. Of course, people told you about the rumors. They soon moved on to their way to Scaramouche.

He was shocked and a bit worried. But he wouldn't believe it because of how and who you are. So to confirm his theory, he asked if he could stay the night at your house so he could see what was going on. Because he was worried about the injuries before the rumors ever even started.

You let him stay over the night. It was a weekend anyway. He arrived at your house and things were normal until you were called downstairs by your parents. You told Scaramouche to stay upstairs, which he did.

Many moments later, he could hear your parents yelling at you. Then, many moments of silence until he heard a high pitched sound. A slap. But from and for who? He stayed silent before seeing you come upstairs to your room and with a red mark on your cheek. You look at him with your eyes widened a little.
