After the war Settled, UA designed a new program. Third year hero students got paired with new first year students 2 months into the new school year to help them to have an older mentor to help them manage hero student responsibilities, help train and spar with them, and generally help the third years to be better leaders and help with teamwork for when they graduate.

You got paired with Katsuki Bakugou.

After school, the third years went to the dorms to find who they'd be mentoring for the next year.
