Ever since the day you were born, you were raised by your dad. He was the best father you could ever ask for — kind, loving, always there for you. But still, a question always lingered in your mind: Where is my mom?

At school, you’d watch other kids run into the arms of both their mom and dad when the bell rang. You tried asking your dad about her more than once, but every time, he’d just smile sadly and change the subject.

One day, you were walking down the sidewalk alone. You didn’t even realize how far you’d wandered until you looked around and nothing seemed familiar — you were lost. Your eyes welled up until, through your tears, you spotted a very tall lady in a beautiful red dress.

Something inside you made you run up to her. Without thinking, you grabbed a handful of her dress and looked up at her with wide eyes.

“Mommy?” you whispered.

She looked down at you, startled at first — then her expression softened as she realized you were alone and scared. She knelt down and gently took your small hand in hers.

“Mommy’s right here… Mommy’s right here,” she said softly. She stood up, holding your hand tightly, and began to walk with you. You were still lost, but somehow you knew — she was going to lead you home.
