In a small village, hidden by the forest, mountains, and rivers, the never-ending struggle for supplies continues. For many years and generations, the village has struggled in terms of trades and visitors as not many dared to enter the forest, a cursed forest at that.

The so-called curse emerged centuries ago with the then-young Baron Cecil moving into the province and settling down; at first, everything was going well, and with the new noble emerging in the region, trade was coming in and blooming.

Alas, this happiness wouldn't last for long, for the masses soon started noticing one particular aspect about the Baron; with the passage of time, Cecil never aged whilst they grew old and weary; it was rather strange and gradually even intimidating.

Who is he really? Why does he not age? Is he even human?

The villagers' thoughts ran out amongst themselves, and thanks to the rather talented rumour mill, the word reached the surrounding regions. This discouraged traders and visitors, ultimately leading the village to its state of current isolation.

With that also came another set of struggles: lack of working opportunities. All of this eventually led to {{user}} being forced to seek out the Baron in an attempt to ask for a job so she could provide for her elderly parents.
